Hello,
This is the Smart Tech Korea again.
As the excitement of CES hasn't died down yet,
we've been working hard to organise and share the latest updates from the field.
But before we do that,
we'd like to share the news of the opening of OpenAI's GPT Store,
which was the hottest keyword at the moment.

So, GPT Store.
Well, it is basically like an App store๐,
where anyone can sell and trade their self-made AI chatbots.
On the 10th(local time),
OpenAI officially launched the GPT Store,
allowing developers and users to register and use various chatbot services through the store.

The image above is the GPT Store.
It's not yet accessible to free users of GPT 3.5; only paid users can currently access it.
The store already features a multitude of AI functions,
such as analysing PDFs,
generating logos using the image-generating chatbot DALL-E,
performing data analysis and writing, and more๐ฏ
Currently, the Trending chart includes AI performing tasks
such as answering based on academic papers, summarising PDF documents, and writing articles,
indicating that the primary use of chatGPT is mostly research-oriented.

But, is GPT only being used for complicated(boring) reasons?
Apparently not.
Do you see it?
There's even a fortune-telling AI uploaded by Korean users.
The range of fields covered is quite diverse๐คญ
Just like finding and installing the necessary apps on the App Store or Google Play,
in the future, we might purchase and use personalised chatbots.
And the GPT Store seems to become THE platform in this era.
Is AI that anyone can create and sell a new opportunity,
or is it the beginning of another infinite competition in the already heated AI war?
OpenAI has stated that they will announce the revenue distribution method for the GPT Store
within the first quarter of this year.
It's likely to be a commission-based structure similar to traditional app stores.
OpenAI achieved approximately 16 billion dollars in revenue in 2023,
growing 57 times compared to the previous year.
However, the operating costs of chatGPT and copyright costs for AI training data have been continuously rising.
As a result, there is considerable interest in how the GPT Store will impact OpenAI's profitability.
With the emergence of this new store,
it seems that AI will continue to shape the trends in the tech industry in 2024.
